Insurance Coverage

Due to the health concerns that are caused or amplified by being severely overweight, many health insurance plans provide benefits for this type of procedure. Once you are approved as a candidate for the program, a member of Dr. Kaplan’s team will help determine if your insurance plan provides the necessary coverage. For LAP-BAND® candidates, you may also call 1.800.LAPBAND Option 3 for insurance verification.

Financing
In the event that your health insurance policy does not afford coverage for weight loss surgical procedures, special private pay financing options can be arranged through a national lending organization*. If you are interested in financing your surgery costs, a member of Dr. Kaplan’s team can provide you with all necessary information for your financing application.

*Financing arrangements are the patient’s responsibility. Neither Dr. Kaplan nor any member of his practice can secure financing on behalf of any patient.
